Angela Bassett and Patti Lupone Cast on American Horror Story: Coven

Two more big names have been added to the cast of American Horror Story: Coven.

Ryan Murphy confirmed in a Tweet today that Angela Bassett and Patti Lupone will play crucial role on the FX series, though no other details were provided by the mysterious creator.

The third season of American Horror Story will focus on witches, be set in New Orleans and once again feature Jessica Lange in the lead role.

Evan Peters, Lily Rabe, Frances Conroy, Sarah Paulson and Taissa Farmiga will also return to the drama, while Bassett and Lupone join other newcomers such as Kathy Bates and Gabourey Sidibe.
