Nashville Season 2 Spoilers: Father Knows Worst?

With ABC having picked up Nashville for Season 2, creator Callie Khouri has shed some light on what viewers can expect from the drama this fall.
And in the least surprising SPOILER ALERT of all time, she has confirmed that both Rayna and Deacon will make it out of the Season 1 finale car crash intact. Physically, that is.
"They are never going to have [a] smooth-sailing relationship," Khouri told TV Guide, making special note of Deacon's discovery that he's Maddie's father. "[Season 2] is not going to look like Father Knows Best. I don't think Deacon ever thought of himself as father material. We'll see him grapple with... whether or not he's right."
