Sony Confirms Return of Dan Harmon and Chris McKenna to Community

by at . Comments

It began as a rumor. It grew into a seemingly serious Tweet. And now it's been confirmed by the higher-ups in charge: Dan Harmon is returning to Community.

Sony confirmed today that the showrunner - ousted prior to Season 4 amidst a public feud with Chevy Chase, along with dwindling ratings - has signed back on as executive producer of the series and will take the reigns once again with Chris McKenna.

Furry Holiday Surprises

Community was picked up by NBC for a fifth season last month, although it was not included on either the fall or midseason schedule.

Still, 13 new episodes WILL air some time during the 2013-14 season and, with Harmon now on board, we know they'll be 13 funny new episodes.
