Glee Season 5 Premiere Delayed Following Cory Monteith's Death
Steve Marsi at .Glee has pushed back the premiere of its fifth season due to the tragic death of Cory Monteith.
Originally slated for a September 19 start, the hit Fox show will now return September 26.
In a statement, Fox says that executive producers, 20th Century Fox TV and the network have decided to delay the start of Glee Season 5 production until August, pushing back the premiere slightly.
Encore presentations of Dads and Brooklyn Nine-Nine will air in its place September 19.
Fox also notes that in honor of Cory Monteith's passing, a trio of organizations - Project Limelight Society, Chrysalis and Virgin Unite - will be accepting donations in the 31-year-old actor's name.
Monteith played Finn Hudson on Glee for the first four seasons of its run.
