Yael Grobglas to Recur on Reign

Yael Grobglas is joining the cast of Reign.

The actress - who filmed the pilot of The Selection for The CW, only to see the series fail to receive a pick-up - will appear on multiple episodes of the upcoming drama as an Italian noblewoman named Olivia.

According to E! News, Grobglas's character will be an ex-girlfriend of Prince Francis and her reappearance will threaten the royal's new relationship with Adelaide Kane's Mary.

Reign debuts October 10th and chronicles the tale of Mary Stuart as she navigates her way through the French court's enemies, evil forces and sexual intrigue on her way to becoming the Queen of Scots. It's an unusual choice for The CW and you can watch a preview here:
