Breaking Bad Spinoff Confirmed, Prequel to Focus on "Evolution" of Saul Goodman

by at . Comments

AMC has made the call: The rumored Breaking Bad spinoff is a go.

The network just released a statement that confirmed a licensing deal has been reached between Sony Pictures Television and creator Vince Gilligan on a series tentatively titled Better Call Saul.

The one-hour drama will focus on Bob Odenkirk's lovable/shady attorney, Saul Goodman, and serve as a prequel, focusing on "the evolution of the popular character before he ever became Walter White’s lawyer," according to AMC.

This set-up means that Saul's fate is wide open as Breaking Bad Season 5 heads to its explosive, death-filled conclusion.

Only three episodes remain of what many consider to be the best show in television history.

Genesis; the origin or mode of formation of something. Corruption is a progressive enterprise; it doesn't just one day permeate everything... it begins slowly.. pervasively... Saul's story may be quite interesting, before the intrigue, the murder, the corruption...

In an effort to cash in on BB success, we're expected to watch the evolution of this slimebag? No thank you-I won't watch this spin off-no way can it compete with BB, & Saul isn't much of a character anyhow-please, end HIM too, writers & producers!
