Cynthia Nixon is on her way back to television.

The former Sex and the City star, who last recurred on Showtime's The Big C, will appear on multiple episodes of Hannibal Season 2.

According to TV Line, the actress will portray Kade Prurnell, a member of the Office of the Inspector General in FBI Oversight.

Look for the character to investigate the developments from last season, specifically the role played in those events by Laurence Fishburne's Jack Crawford.

NBC is yet to announce a premiere date for Hannibal Season 2, but the series is expected to return in early 2014.
