True Detective is coming to HBO.

This unique, intriguing new drama will star Matthew McConaughey and Woody Harrelson as Louisiana detectives Rust Cohle and Martin Hart, respectively, and it will tell the tale of a 17-year search for a killer.

The series will flash back and forth through time after the 1995 murder is re-opened in 2012 and we'll learn how the lives of these law enforcement officers collided during that period.
