Hector Elizondo will reprise his role as Callie's father on Grey's Anatomy this season, according to a new report. Elizondo will appear in a Callie-centric episode slated to air sometime in November.

Further details on why the father of Dr. Torres (Sara Ramirez) resurfaces are under wraps for now.

Grey's just aired its 200th episode last night, and Carlos goes back a long way. Elizondo, 76, first appeared in Grey's Anatomy Season 3, after Callie had gotten married to George (T.R. Knight).

In subsequent years, Carlos was strongly opposed when Callie came out as a lesbian, but over time, he came to accept her and ultimately supported her marrying Arizona (Jessica Capshaw).

The fact that Callie and Arizona are currently estranged after the latter's now-infamous infidelity will surely make for an interesting conversation between father and daughter this time around.
