On The Vampire Diaries season premiere, viewers met Jesse, a Whitmore College upperclassman and fraternity brother who seemed to take an immediate liking to Caroline. They also did NOT meet back up with Tyler; that werewolf remains out of the picture.

But he may wanna run back into it, considering photos from the October 24 installment of this series, "For Whom the Bell Tolls," depict Caroline cozying up to this fellow university student, sharing a picnic with Jesse and also a drink at a Remembrance Day party in the woods.

Elsewhere, it looks like Elena and Damon do successfully save Stefan, as teased in the latest TVD promo, but it also looks like the guy returns with some serious blood thirst. Click through the spoiler-y pictures now:

While Mystic Falls observes its traditional Remembrance Day to honor the dead, Damon and Elena try to help Stefan (Paul Wesley) through a confusing time, a task that ends up taking Elena on an emotional journey of her own.  A worried Matt tries to figure out the reason behind his mysterious blackouts, and Caroline makes an effort to get to know Jesse better. Jeremy makes a startling confession that hits Damon hard. Finally, Dr. Maxfield (guest star Rick Cosnett) puts a plan in motion that will change everything.
