Anna Gunn and Jacki Weaver Cast on Fox Adaptation of Broadchurch

Anna Gunn and Jacki Weaver have joined the cast of Gracepoint.
The event series - which will premiere on Fox in 2014 - is based on the critically acclaimed BBC hit Broadchurch and will feature David Tennant reprising his role as a detective who tracks the mysterious death a young boy found on the beach in an idyllic, seemingly peaceful town.
The story follows the basis of the child's passing, while also chronicling the lives of those who reside in this area.
Gunn, an Emmy winner for her work on Breaking Bad, will star as Detective Ellie Miller, a married wife and mother who becomes bitter after Tennant's Emmett Carver receives a promotion ahead of her.
But she swallows her pride and ends up partnership with Carver on the investigation.
Weaver, a multiple-time Academy Award nominee, will portray a new resident of the town who lives alone in an RV park with her dog.
