Can Brooke Shields help save The Michael J. Fox Show?

With ratings for this NBC sitcom continuing to falter, sources confirm to The Hollywood Reporter that the actress - most recently seen on Army Wives Season 7 - has landed a recurring role.

Look for Shields to come on board for three episodes in early 2014 and to portray an intelligent, single, frazzled woman named Deborah.

She will meet Mike's son Ian at a ballroom dance class and get along very well with the 19-year old.

Other notable guest stars for The Michael J. Fox Show - which airs Thursday nights at 9:30 on NBC - include Anne Heche and Sting.
