EXCLUSIVE: Leah Remini on Joining The Exes, DWTS & King Of Queens

by at .  Updated at . Comments

When a show like The Exes needed someone to fill the shoes of absent star Kristen Johnston (who disclosed via her Facebook page that she's been diagnosed with Lupus), Leah Remini stepped in to stir things up on the TV Land sitcom, starting with the first episode of the new year.

Remini joins the cast as the sister of David Alan Basche's buttoned-up Stuart and, as the actress told me on the set of the sitcom, the TV siblings are a tad different, which should spark a lot of laughs.

Remini also talked about her experience this fall on Dancing With The Stars (she placed fifth behind winner Amber Riley) and looked back on the long-running sitcom, King of Queens.

Watch now and gather up some exclusive scoop from the star:

The Exes airs Wednesdays at 10/9c on TVLand.
