Elena Gilbert is a vampire damsel in distress in this exclusive sneak peek from The Vampire Diaries Season 5 Episode 10, this Thursday's midseason finale.

Year after year, we're used to seeing everybody try to save Elena on TVD. But she's never been in a situation quite like we find her in this time around.

Dr. Wes has her in his clutches, pinned down and ready to inflict pain ... and not a hot way like the episode title, "Fifty Shades of Grayson," might imply.

When Damon realizes she's in grave, torturous danger, he enlists Stefan's help to find her, and the Salvatore brothers pay a visit to Aaron as a result.

Of course, there's also the Enzo factor, which will no doubt come into play as Damon must face his past, and the consequences of his plan for revenge.
