American Horror Story Season 4: Era, Location Revealed!

by at .  Updated at . Comments

With the doors about the close on American Horror Story: Coven, Ryan Murphy has offered up a couple teases about the next installment in this beloved franchise.

Kyle and Zoe

Speaking to Entertainment Weekly, the creator says small hints will be revealed on the concluding episode of Season 3 and Sason 4 will be "set in 1950."

“If you look historically what happened in the year 1950, there’s some more clues in that year," Murphy teases regarding the theme. "It’s a period piece. We try and do the opposite of what we’ve done before. Jessica Lange has already started practicing her German accent so I’m very excited!”

Whoa there! Her German accent?!?

To what events could Murphy be referring? What does he have in mind? How totally crazy and insane will it be?

I hope the new location is Santa Fe. We have a very creepy abandoned prison here if they wanted to use it for filming. However, I wouldn't enter that prison for any reason!

I had previously read that Jessica Lange was making Season 3 her last, now it seems she will be staying on board after her recent acting nomination for AHS. That is the greatest news yet, she is so excellent and diversified in each role she has taken on in AHS. Cudos to Ryan Murphy & his team for putting on a very different scary, interesting show. I get withdrawal symptoms after they go into the finale episode. I hope Kathy Bates also becomes a regular, she is outstanding!

@ Maggie Elaina

agreed. that smile on her face reminded me so much of misery, the part where she realised she can now bury the voodoo queen and get her own still rooting for zoe, even they ran off at the end of the last episode.

well what about the Buchenwald concentration camp. it would make an interesting setting using a concentration camp, similar to the asylum used in season 2. however I cant imagine how it would affect any Jewish viewers watching, surely this will cause controversy and there should be some level of sensitivity to approach this project. just my opinion.

@ lee

I think that would be an excellent storyline, was thinking the same thing myself.

Going with Ethel Rosenberg as my guess
