Well, this was awkward. And hilarious.

At tonight's People's Choice Awards, Ian Somerhalder and Nina Dobrev of The Vampire Diaries won the trophy for Best On-Screen Chemistry.

And upon accepting the hardward, the actor and actress quickly recounted their characters' history on The CW hit... followed by their personal history, which includes a long relationship and a semi-recent breakup.

It's the first time Somerhalder and Dobrev acknowledged their split since it took place, but fear not. It ended with a peck and a sweet moment. Watch now:
