Pedro Pascal to Romance Lisbon on The Mentalist

by at .

Pedro Pascal is about to have his eye on Teresa Lisbon.

The actor - who has also landed a key role on Game of Thrones Season 4 - has been cast in a key recurring arc on The Mentalist.

According to TV Line, Pascal will come on board Episode 16 as FBI Special Agent Marcus Pike.

Look for the law enforcement official to work with Jane and Lisbon on a case of stolen art… only to quickly fall for the latter and aim to turn their relationship personal.

Pascal has also appeared on episode of Graceland, The Good Wife and Red Widow and will stick around for at least five weeks.

This TV Fanatic favorite is on extended hiatus at the moment, but you can watch The Mentalist online at any time to stay current.

So why should I watch this show if they clearly hate their fanbase first they take away what the show all about Red John now everyone acting like horny 16 year old.

Because they have other plot lines going on too? There is the new one of the whole group being hunted down by someone - not exactly romantic and I doubt they will remove all the darker lines of the program. The mix of light and fluffy with darkness has been what appeals to people. It seems unlikely they would throw away that appeal. I think they need time after the big change to re-establish depth. If they had not changed the series would have been cancelled anyway, so what do you have to loose in waiting a bit longer to see how it goes? I do agree with you though, I don't just want light and fluffy either, the contrast plotline of lurking threats and mystery is very important.

I have not seen this actor in anything myself - is he a good fit for Lisbon?

I've seen him in Graceland. He's good. I like him but have no idea if he's good for Lisbon.

I'm sure Mr. Pascal is a fine actor, and I wish him the best; however, if this plot takes away from Jane and Lisbon's relationship, I will stop watching the show.

Michael, your vocabulary and grammar both need improvement. Show some manners. Look at some other posts to learn how to disagree respectfully.

So do you want to keep acting like a child or be a adult.

I felt like you, then the more I thought about it, the more I thought it would enhance the romantic tension between Lisbon and Jane, so now I think the new boyfriend could be a good thing.

The pros and cons of the boyfriend role have been discussed on the 'Being hunted' thread of this site

This means Heller is being unoriginal.

I have no problem with a boyfriend for Lisbon, but than lisbon and jane should never be together.

If he is starting this storyline, to create jealousy, and eventually bringing them together. Than I am not going to keep watching this.

Sounds like a copy of the end of season 2 of Castle. Can't Heller come up with anything else?

You could be right, Just Passing-I hope so! I'll continue to watch new episodes, but I'm done spending my money purchasing episodes from Amazon until I see how this plays out. I know I'm not in charge of The Mentalist, but I am in charge of my own wallet and my own time. I like you optimism, though! You give me hope.

Well I am hoping too. I am way more stuck than you as I am not living in the US so cannot buy episodes from anywhere - we have to wait til next autumn and buy the DVD set if we want any re-runs, other than a very short window where the local TV site lets you view over the internet for a few days but then its gone forever, but at least that is free, but you can't look back at the early stages of any season.
