It was a terrific return for the series, as viewers flash backed to a teenage Finch and learned a great deal about this mysterious character.

What else did Person of Interest Season 3 Episode 12 offer?

The Machine showed off its autonomy more than ever, evolving to a point where it's about far more than numbers now. This is a major issue for Finch, as you might expect.

But Root's faith has not wavered and it was very cool to watch The Machine speak through this hacker. Very cool and very scary, we should say.
