TV Ratings Report: Chicago PD Books Strong Start

Chicago PD copped to strong ratings on its series premiere, with last night's opener drawing 8.6 million total viewers and a 2.0 among 18-49-year olds.

Those figures easily beat out Chicago Fire's 2012 debut in the same timeslot.

Elsewhere, Revolution and Law & Order: SVU made it a successful evening all around for NBC...

9 p.m.
The People's Choice Awards: 10.1 million
Law & Order SVU: 8.5 million
The Tomorrow People rerun: 860,000
Modern Family: 9.5 million/Super Fun Night rerun: 4.8 million

10 p.m.
Chicago PD: 8.5 million
David Blaine: Real or Magic rerun: 3.8 million
