CSI Spinoff Granted Pilot, Potential Series to Focus on Cyber Crime

Another spinoff may be on the way to the small screen.

CBS has confirmed that it has given a pilot order for a CSI spinoff that will focus on Avery Ryan, Special Agent in Charge at the Cyber Crime Division of the FBI in Quantico, Virginia.

Elisabeth Shue with a Shoe

The character will be introduced some time this spring as part of a regular CSI episode, with franchise creator creator Anthony E. Zuiker having penned the script.

CSI: Miami and CSI: NY are no longer on the air, of course, though both enjoyed solid runs on CBS. The mothership, meanwhile, is still going strong on season 14.

What do you think of this spinoff idea?

And how does it compare to those of NCIS, Arrow and others on the way?

I hated that they took CSI Miami and CSI New York off, I loved them both now you want me to get involved in another one. It's bad enough people on CSI have changed.

Good question ... too bad nobody has given an answer to it. Likely answer: they probably haven't decided on the final name.

Will it has CSI in the name or will it be like JAG and NCIS

That leaves us one question. Who is Ian Moone?
