General Hospital Recap: Sex, Lies and Teenagers

at .

Today marked a milestone in General Hospital history. The legendary soap aired its 13,000th episode - and, boy, did it deliver.

Viewers finally got a moment of true romance for Robin and Patrick, as well as three major reveals.

Last Friday, we were left hanging with one big question: Who's backing the Jeromes?

General Hospital Milestone

Shawn did some digging and discovered that Barrett Enterprises is bankrolling the organization. When I heard Barrett, I automatically thought of Brenda, but she's not the only member of that family. Her older sister, Julia, owned a majority stake in the company. Sonny reluctantly calls Brenda (off camera of course) and learns Julia sold her shares years ago.

On the other side of town, Julian's playing house with Danny and Alexis. He claims that he would have been a great father to Sam and Lucas.

For some reason, he believes he would have been a good influence on them. At that point, I thought, "Pump your brakes Julian. You're a professional criminal." He prepares to leave but not before planting a huge kiss on Alexis.

The Metro Court is the one-stop shop for awkward meetings. First, Michael and Kiki bump into each other after their big fight. Then, Rafe stumbles upon Molly and TJ locking lips at the elevator.

The couple is eager to take their relationship to the next level but here comes Rafe asking questions. Molly covered by saying they were there to prep for the SATs. But I preferred TJ's brutally honest approach. He told Rafe to mind his business and get a life.

Rafe's cousin, Kiki, isn't fairing better in the romance department.

Once again, her and Michael argue about who was right and wrong in Franco-gate. For the life of me, I can't understand why Michael puts up with Kiki. She knows his history with Franco, and continues to sidestep his feelings. Sadly, Michael still tries to mend their relationship but Kiki thinks they should spend some time apart. She'll be staying at her dad's place for the foreseeable future.

The Scorpio-Drake family is reeling from Robin's decision leave Port Charles. After putting Emma down, Robin and Patrick have a heart-to-heart. She asks him to sleep with her one last time, but he's not in the mood. Can you blame him?

Robin seems to be more interested in the well-being of Jason's family than her own. She questions Patrick's love for her, which I felt was a low-blow. He finally gives in and they have an old-fashioned love scene complete with sappy music.

Apparently, AJ is the new Ghost Whisperer. When drunk, he can summon the dead. At the cemetery, he disrupts Connie from her supernatural slumber to ask some questions. She explains that she's part of his subconscious and that the truth is hidden in his memories.

Ava and Carlos are at the Floating Rib having a drink. She quizzes him about her family's mystery backer. But before she can get any answers, booze-soaked AJ comes in asking about Connie. Ava tells him to back off and threatens to show Michael the footage of him fleeing Connie's murder scene. He gets aggressive before Carlos swoops in and kicks him out.

Ava has a flashback and it reveals that Connie was alive and well when AJ left her office. When Ava saw him leaving, she stormed in shouting, "Julian!" Connie replied, "Did you just say Julian?"

If you remember correctly, this was back when he was going by the alias Derek Wells. Did Ava do something naughty to keep her brother's identity intact?

After seeing Molly and TJ together, Rafe ditches Kiki and heads straight to Alexis's house. He interrupts her and Julian's sexy time and snitches on Molly. Both Alexis and Julian run out to stop the teens, while Rafe stays with Danny. Cut to Molly and TJ's makeout session being interrupted by loud bangs at the door.

A shirtless TJ answers and Mama Bear Alexis is angry and ready to pounce.

While at Alexis's house, Rafe gets a visitor. He opens the door and welcomes the episode's biggest surprise. There's Ric Lansing aka Alexis's ex-husband, Molly's father and Sonny's half-brother on the porch.

So... Why is Ric Lansing back in Port Charles?

General Hospital Quotes

Claudia: Oh, you're in a foul mood, huh? Looking for trouble?
Sonny: You know, I have not been fair to you. I know I called you a lying whore, and all that. But hey, you know what? At least you don't pretend to be anything else.

Lucky, it's called cleavage, and it's the best weapon we've got.
