Emery's father accidentally shot and killed Roman's father at the end of last week's Star-Crossed, bringing a lot of tension to the table.

On Star-Crossed Season 1 Episode 2, Roman initially refused to speak to Emery and was off dealing with funeral planning, meeting Atrian leaders and his Uncle Castor.

When Roman learns someone must take his father's position as leader, he nominates himself. His Uncle Castor can't be trusted much as he used to be part of the Trags: a group of outlaw Atrians who want war with the humans.

When Roman finds out that the Trags are targeting Emery, he rushed to the Homecoming carnival.
