Vikings Season 2 Teaser: Let the Raiding Resume

at . Comments

The first Vikings Season 2 trailer is here and it's loaded with the unique and stunning imagery we've come to associate with the History Channel drama.

There's Ragnar Lothbrok standing before Yggdrasil, the tree of life, with a hint of fire in his eye. His skin breaks away to reveal a raven's feathers, which clearly symbolizes Odin, the Allfather.

His wife Lagertha drops a tray of food and picks up a sword, reminding us she is a warrior first and foremost.

Watch carefully as King Horik's eye morphs into something more reptilian. Is he the snake that will betray our heroes?

Check out the teaser below and let me know what the rest of the imagery means to you.

Vikings Season 2 premieres February 27 on History.

Vikings Quotes

Ragnar: What do you see?
Bjorn: Power, the power of a king.
Ragnar: Power is always dangerous. It attracts the worst and corrupts the best. I never asked for power. Power is only given to those who are prepared to lower themselves to pick it up.

Ragnar: I have something to say. I did not become Earl because I aspired to be one. It came about because of other people's actions. And I did not become king out of ambition, but once again I had no choice as a result of other people's actions. But nonetheless, I am king. King Ragnar, that is my name. What does a king do Bjorn?
Bjorn: He rules.
Ragnar: Yes, good... he rules. And as a ruler, I have the last say. Me! Not you, not you and not you.
