Hours prior to the Helix Season 1 finale, Syfy delivered exciting news to fans of this sci-drama:

It has been renewed for Season 2!

Said Bill McGoldrick, EVP, Original Content, Syfy, in announcing that 13 new episodes will in 2015:

“Helix has built one of our most loyal and consistent audiences in its first season on Syfy. The incredibly talented writing and producing team have crafted a thriller that consistently delivered suspense, twists and high quality drama.

"We look forward to growing this passionate audience in what promises to be an even more memorable second season."

Since its opener, Helix has averaged 2.1 million total viewers, about half of whom comprised the demographic of adults 25-54 and 1 million of whom are from the advertise-friendly group of adults 18-49.
