From The Closer to Major Crimes to... Major Crimes.

TV Line confirms that TNT is considering a spinoff of its spinoff, giving Jon Tenney his own series to anchor as Special Agent Fritz Howard.

The character debuted on The Closer and has appeared on multiple Major Crimes episodes.

The potential new drama would NOT bring back Kyra Sedgwick as Brenda Leigh Johnson (Fritz’s on-screen wife), but it may include Malcolm-Jamal Warner as Lt. Chuck Cooper.

This Special Investigation Section supervisor appeared in Major Crimes Season 2 to help protect Rusty from a psychopath.

Tenney will appear in Episode 7 of Major Crimes Season 3, which kicks off on June 9.
