Naya Rivera: Still Under Glee Contract, Season 6 Status Unknown

by at . Comments

With talk swirling that Naya Rivera has been fired from Glee (possibly due to an on-set clash with Lea Michele) Fox has come out with a statement that addresses this rumor.

And shoots it down completely.

"There is no truth to the rumor Naya has been fired from the show. She remains under contract to Glee," the network said on Saturday.

However, this statement does not confirm whether or not Santana will be a part of the Glee Season 5 finale, as previous reports said a duet with Mercedes had been scrapped.

Rivera has portrayed the sassy Santana Lopez since the first season of this Fox comedy, with her role only increasing over the years.

But creator Ryan Murphy has already said Glee Season 6 will feature a time jump, a move away from New York and a concentration on a few core cast members.

So it's very possible Rivera will not play a key role on the show's final season regardless of these rumors and whether any aspect of them is accurate.

You know is you say what was actually reported, which is that Naya Rivera was fired for getting in a fight with producers and directors, got kicked off the set and her lot ass revoked, instead of dragging Lea's name into it, I think some people will still click on your article and read it. Probably. Maybe.

Glee Quotes

Rachel: This is what I wanted!
Sam: No, what you wanted was a second chance to get it right and Carmen just gave it to you. If you throw all that away you're going to be making the same mistake all over again

Finn: I seem to recall a rumor about a certain cheerleading coach at this school who once took horse estrogen and posed for Penthouse back in the day. So maybe I can just track that down and make a few copies and sell those to raise money for Regionals.
Sue: That's nothing but a rumor. But if that rumor were true, my Penthouse centerfold so groundbreaking that it completely redefined the term 'hirsute,' and gave birth unto these United States a pose so limber they named it the Regal American Not-So-Bald Spread Eagle, I promise you, my friend, you would never find it.
