When a wealthy, terminally ill woman was killed in Rizzoli & Isles Season 5 Episode 5, the team had to figure out who couldn't wait to watch her die. All the while, Jane, Frankie and Korsak attempted to come to terms that Detective Barry Frost's chair couldn't remain empty forever.

Elsewhere, Angela overstepped when she went to see Jane's doctor, without Jane which led to a mother / daughter chat about boundaries.

And Maura began teaching a college course and found chemistry with professor Jack Armstrong. Given her last boyfriend turned out to be a serial killer, Maura wasn't so enthusiastic to start dating again. But eventually, Angela's words of wisdom and Jack's personal charm wore her down.
