The Walking Dead Season Premiere Date, Extended Trailer: Unveiled!

AMC has announced the premiere date for The Walking Dead Season 5.
Look for Rick Grimes and company to return to the small screen on Sunday, October 12 at 9/8c.
The first eight episodes of the season will air consecutively, with a long hiatus followed by the back eight episodes kicking off in February 2015.
"From the opening tease in the premiere onward, season 5 is without question the most ambitious and satisfying season this amazing team has ever crafted” said Charlie Collier, AMC president. “In the zombie apocalypse, event television is alive and well, and I am proud to acknowledge that this uniquely talented writing staff, production team and cast have once again raised the bar (and the crossbow)."
In addition to the premiere date, producers unveiled the first footage from Season 5 at The Walking Dead panel this afternoon at Comic-Con.
