Geena Davis to Perform Surgery on Grey's Anatomy Season 11

Grey's Anatomy Season 11 has booked an Oscar winner.

Geena Davis (who took home the gold in 1988 for The Accidental Tourist) will appear on multiple episodes of the Shonda Rhimes drama this fall as a surgeon at Grey Sloan Memorial Hospital.

Not much else is known about her character at this time.

The veteran actress (who was also nominated for an Academy Award for Thelma & Louise) briefly served as President of the United States on ABC’s Commander in Chief.

Grey's Anatomy Season 11 premieres on Thursday, September 25 at 8/7c.
