MTV has announced the
victims leads for its upcoming drama based on the Scream movie franchise.
According to a network press release, Willa Fitzgerald (Emma on Royal Pains Season 6) - will star as another character named Emma, described as a classic beauty who is popular, shy and intelligent.
Amy Forsyth (Reign) will play her estranged childhood best friend, who is the daughter of a Lutheran pastor and aspiring filmmaker.
John Karna (The Neighbors) will portray a creative computer genius and Audrey’s best friend Noah; while Carlson Young (Key and Peele) is on board as bubbly, sexy popular group leader Brooke.
Finally, newcomer Amadeus Serafini will play the dark, mysterious new kid Kieran.
The project will be written by Jay Beattie and Dan Dworkin (Criminal Minds, The Event, Revenge) and run by Jamie Travis.
It will being with a YouTube video going viral, which will have repercussions for Audrey and serve as the “catalyst for a murder that opens up a window to [her] town’s troubled past.”
No premiere date has been set by MTV.
