CSI: George Eads Exiting After 15 Years as Nick Stokes

George Eads, who has played Nick Stokes since the series' pilot will exit his role at the end of CSI Season 15

Eads took a leave of absence in 2013 after an argument with one of the writers on the creative direction of his character. 

In 2004 Eads and then co-star Jorja Fox were both fired briefly after a salary dispute.

Although neither CBS nor Eads has made an official statement, TV Guide learned Ead's departure will coincide with the conclusion of the Gig Harbor killer case There are no other details available about how Stokes will be written out. 

CSI recently had its episode order cut in order to launch the newest member of the franchise, CSI: Cyber, starring Patricia Arquette and Luke Perry. The new series will inhabit CSI's current Sunday 10/9 p.m. time slot
