Hell on Wheels will be sticking around for two more years.

AMC announced today the historical series will be back for a fifth and final season, thereby renewing and cancelling it in one swoop.

The final season will consist of two seven-episode runs, the first beginning in the summer of 2015 and the remainder airing the following year.

AMC president Charlie Collier said in a statement, “With Season 5 of Hell on Wheels, we are proud to bring our trans-continental journey to conclusion for the large, loyal audience that has traveled with Cullen Bohannon and his crew for so many years.”

The final four episodes of Hell on Wheels Season 4 starts this Saturday, so be back here for a full report on the action.
