In the season two opener, Mary Jane throws a dinner party. She ends up inviting a married couple that she and David used to be "couples friends" with.
Can you see where this is going? Awkward!
To say the party is an utter disaster is an understatement. Thirty hours later, hours which include some of the most nasty hangover symptoms ever shown on television, and Mary Jane still needs closure about David and attempts to get it from their shared friend Valerie.
Niecy's life isn't going any better as Helen continues to hound her about having two children by two different dads while living under her roof, lazily waiting around until she goes to nursing school.
Mary Jane also re-examines what she wants out of life after learning that David's new girlfriend is pregnant. There's a particular, rather heartbreaking scene as she's doing this you will not want to miss.
