Stalker Round Table: A Deadly Attack

at .

We were left with plenty to discuss following Stalker Season 1 Episode 16, considering Ray went into attack mode and left Amanda fighting for her life.

TV Fanatic Staff Writers Stacy Glanzman, Allison Nichols, Paul Dailly and TV Fanatic Super Fan Amy Perrin discuss the friend always being part of the case, what's next for Ray and Perry and whether Janice could be jealous of Beth and Jack.

React to that final scene involving Amanda being attacked.

Stacy: Okay, I admit it, they got me with the fake out on Janice. The plan was to scare Jack first, though, and I think finding Amanda unconscious outside his house will probably do the trick.

Allison: The fake out was great! I was waiting for Janice to be attacked, and then just when you think everything is safe, Amanda goes down. It is a smart move to take out Amanda. It is an unexpected way to hurt Beth and her family at the TAU.

Amy: Since Janice turned out to be okay, it wasn't a total surprise seeing Ray attack Amanda. I wonder if he will leave her there, or kidnap her.

Paul: They got me. I was shouting at the TV, thinking Janice was in trouble. Then I let out a sigh of relief and Amanda was on the ground. Damn you, Ray.

What did you think of the case?

Stacy: Cults creep me out and the leader was definitely creepy, but it was weird that it started out being about the ex-boyfriend and then he ended up having nothing to do with the rest of the story. That was kind of random.

Allison: I wasn't a fan. Like Stacy said, it was all random. I loved that Beth and Jack took a tour of the cult and quizzed them on what they believed. It would have been fun to see more of the team at the cult.

Amy: That first scene was really intense, and I was surprised by the whole group stalking thing, but overall it wasn't one of my favorite cases.

Paul: It was tense at first, but then got a little too much over the top and I lost interest in the closing act of it.

Are you over the friends always being part of the case?

Stacy: YES! That was exactly what I was thinking while watching Isobel crying to Beth about Lucy. Friend betrayal three weeks in a row is a little excessive.

Allison: I did like that the friend wasn't aware that the cult was the one doing the stalking. Sure, she was an accomplice, but she didn't think she was doing anything wrong.

Amy: Oh, my gosh, I am so over the friend being involved. I was actually praying that she wouldn't be involved, because three weeks in a row is just overkill. If they do this next week also, I am going to be very disappointed.

Paul: I was over it three weeks ago! Going forward, I want the friends to be reliable and honest.

What's next for Perry and Ray?

Stacy: I was surprised when Perry was so against hurting anyone. What exactly was he planning on doing? Now all of a sudden he's worried about getting in trouble?

Allison: I am not sure. I love that they are finally strategizing. Ray and Perry are showing they aren't just going at this half-cocked.

Amy: Since Perry seems more and more uncomfortable with Ray, I am thinking he might go off on his own and target Beth himself. He almost seems like a different character, almost docile, than he was when he showed up to get Ray out of the hospital.

Paul: It looks like next episode will be the end of their reign of terror. I think both will die.

Were you shocked that Janice didn't appear jealous at Ben's claims about Beth and Jack hooking up?

Stacy: No, I never really got the impression that Janice was seriously interested in Jack. I think she finds him attractive, but it's not like she's in love with him or anything.

Allison: No, not at all. I think she sees him as a friend, and she wants Beth to be happy. I really hope there isn't any awkward jealousy that happens.

Amy: Only a little. I don't think Janice was really interested in a relationship with Jack, but Jack was a bit of an ass to Janice after their hookup.

Paul: A bit. Usually on TV when two characters sleep together, the chick always gets feelings for the guy. I'm happy she was generally okay with it.
