Two of HBO's comedies will be coming back!
The announcement was made today that the Julia Louis-Dreyfus vehicle Veep will be returning for a fifth season and the Mike Judge/Alec Berg creation Silicon Valley will be returning for a third season in 2016.
In the latest season of Veep, the Veep herself, Selina Meyer, is the new President, and even the most banal actions can have unexpected and far reaching consequences.
Silicon Valley takes a look at the high-tech gold rush, where the people most qualified to succeed are the least capable of handling success.
"Veep and Silicon Valley are terrific series, and I’m immensely proud that they will return to HBO next year," noted Michael Lombardo, president, HBO Programming. "Along with Game of Thrones and Last Week Tonight with John Oliver, both of which have already been renewed for 2016, they give HBO a stellar Sunday night like no other."
