Olivia Pope may have succeeded in at least slowing down her father last night, but Scandal Season 4 Episode 22 failed to generate as much interest as last year's finale of this ABC smash.

8.1 million viewers tuned in to “You Can’t Take Command,” while it earned a 2.3 rating among 18-49-year olds. Those figures represent a 24 and 32 percent dip from last year’s finale.

Elsewhere on ABC, Grey’s Anatomy (8.3 million/2.2 rating) also fell, 7 and 15 percent year-over-year; while, at 10 p.m., American Crime wrapped up Season 1 by holding steady.

On The CW, The Vampire Diaries Season 6 Episode 22 (1.5 million/0.7), while Reign (870K/0.4) decreased in total viewers from last year’s ender.

On NBC, The Blacklist (7.3 million/1.5) was was down 30 and 42 percent, respectively, from last May’s finale.

On Fox, Bones (4.7 million/1.0) dropped a tenth, while Wayward Pines debuted to 3.8 million and a 1.0. Not very impressive.

On CBS, The Odd Couple finale (8.2 million/1.8) held steady, while Elementary (6.9 million/1.2) was down two tenths from its previous finale.
