True Detective Season 2 Episode 3 Preview

at .

With the explosive final minutes of True Detective Season 2 Episode 2, we're given no assurances of Ray Volcoro's fate in the preview for True Detective Season 2 Episode 3

What we do see, however, is one of Ray's superiors showing up on the scene of Ani's investigation mentioning Ray was shot and not killed, and that's the biggest hint we're going to get that he's not gone. Let the speculation begin about how Colin Farrell is remaining with the series!

Ani and Paul pick up where Ani and Ray left off, visiting with the mayor's family at his ridiculously opulent house where his strung out wife and adult son look like they could be starring their own porn movie.

Paul is using some wisdom and sharing with us that if you want to forget something, maybe remembering it in every detail, maybe ain't the right way. Is he speaking from experience and about Black Mountain?

Finally, he and Frank quite literally bump into each other. Whether that amounts to anything more than the evil eye we'll have to wait to find out.

The good news is it looks like the third installment kicks things up a notch. We're ready! Be back here on Sunday, July 5 for a full review, and be ready to chat about it!

True Detective Season 2 Episode 3 Quotes

Dad: Aw, son, they kill you. They shoot you to pieces.
Ray: Where is this?
Dad: I don't know. You were here first.

Ani: What the fuck, man? I'm commanding officer of this detail. You call me if you got something.
Ray: Well, I got shot. That's somethin'. I found our murder scene. That's something else.
