Aaron Tveit Cast as Danny Zuko in Grease: Live

Summer lovin, Aaron Tveit is about to have himself a blast.

The Broadway star, currently helping anchor Graceland on USA, has been cast in the lead role of Grease: Live, Fox's upcoming telecast of the famous play.

Tveit will portray Danny Zuko when the unique production airs on January 31.

“I’m thrilled and honored to be joining this incredibly talented team of actors in reimagining this classic and beloved musical,” said Tveit.

“Playing ‘Danny Zuko’ is a dream role and I can’t wait to be a part of all the fun that comes along with performing live on television.”

Fox also announced today that Carlos PenaVega will take on the role of Zuko’s best friend, Kenickie.

Tveit and PenaVega join Julianne Hough as Sandy; Vanessa Hudgens as Rizzo; and Keke Palmer Marty in Grease: Live.
