Days of Our Lives Round Table: Does Chad Love Abby?

at .

Eric wanted to do the “right” thing, Sonny analyzed Will, Justin blindsided Adrienne and Xander was on the loose last week in Salem.

Our TV Fanatic Christine Orlando is joined by Jack and Jana from MyHourglass a Days of Our Lives Fan Forum to debate Chad’s motivation for breaking up with Abigail, if Justin and Adrienne should call it quits, and what disappointed them in last week’s Days of Our Lives.

Did Chad break up with Abigail because he thought she was going back to Ben or because he feared for her well being with Stefano back in Salem?

Jack: Both. I think he mainly was worried about why Stefano is pushing for Chad and Abby to be together. But he also is trying to give her her happiness by going along with what he thinks she wants.

Jana: I think it's obvious Chad loves Abigail. I'd say his love for Abigail even shows in how deep he as a character has developed as well.

Christine: I think it’s been a combination. I think part of him was furious when it looked like she was going back to Ben and he did lash out. I also think that he is concerned about Stefano’s interest. I liked that he even voiced that to Stefano when he said he’d never allow Abby to be hardened the way Sami was in order to hold her own in the DiMera mansion. That said a lot right there.

Should Adrienne and Justin get divorced?

Jack: At this point, sadly, I think so. Justin thinks it's okay that he had an affair because he was 5000 miles away. Adrienne is running to Lucas every other day. They seem to be married in name only.

Jana: Absolutely not! I think they should work it out. Justin is a jerk, but I think he really loves her. Adrienne seems to feel the same, and I hate how she dragged Lucas into her life like this.

Christine: I wanted to smack Justin when he talked as though he was a good guy because he tried to keep his affair discreet! Adrienne jumping into a relationship with Lucas while she was still married was a bad decision on her part too. These two have serious issues and if they aren’t willing to head to couples therapy and put some serious work into saving their marriage they should probably end it.

Is Eric right, does Daniel have the right to know exactly what happened between he and Nicole in that basement?

Jack: Not unless Nicole also tells Eric and Jennifer about how two years ago she and Daniel kissed and then decided it was a mistake. This is the exact same situation. Sadly, I'm afraid that Eric and Daniel will both see it differently when it eventually comes out.

Jana: I think he should, since Nicole wants to continue having a relationship with him. Honestly I want Ericole, so let the truth be spoken so Daniel dumps Nicole!

Christine: Eric’s being ridiculous. They kissed while under extreme circumstances. Nicole was declaring her love for Daniel even while she was half delirious. I think Eric’s in the wrong here since the feelings in question since to be completely his but I have little doubt it will blow up in Nicole’s face anyway. It always does.

Do you think Will is going to follow through on the personal therapy and will it help?

Jack: No. I think he's going to keep scheming his way to destroying his marriage. Therapy would help if he was actually motivated to change, but as it is, it's a bit useless.

Jana: Of course not. Will is a flimsy pathetic excuse for a person and is weak willed. He doesn't take responsibility for anything.

Christine: Unfortunately, I have to agree with Jack and Jana. Just because Sonny was smart enough to figure out what’s driven Will to have two affairs, that doesn’t mean that Will is smart enough to take responsibility for his actions and put in the work to change. Will is selfish and immature. I don’t see that changing any time soon.

Was there anything that disappointed you this week in Salem?

Jack: JJ deciding to go to the party and some guy watching JJ, trying to entrap him into dealing. JJ's been clean almost two years--surely there's some other story for him besides constantly being accused and framed for drug crimes. Runner up: Jen not hearing JJ's obvious cry for help because he used the word "insane."

Jana: I was disappointing with Sonny being thrown under the bus, and Will being given a pass for cheating.

Christine: Xander and Serena still being in Salem. Please someone buy them a one-way ticket to anywhere leaving today!

What was your favorite quote, scene or story line from the week?

Jack: Maggie's confronting Theresa and letting her know she wasn't getting away with her usual garbage while at the mansion! If only this would lead to a storyline where Theresa eventually accepts Maggie's help to turn her life around...

Jana: I loved the Chabby angst this week! It was pretty good, and I like their scenes. I think there's some good potential there.

Christine: Between dealing with Xander and Theresa moving in, Victor had some of the best Days of Our Lives quotes this week…

It's not just her. Pretty soon you may be dealing with her whole family. That imbecilic mother, the slatternly sister. My god, it's like living in an episode of Honey Boo Boo.
