Is Shawn Mendes bringing a little light to The 100?

It's certainly a possibility. If you're unaware, Mendes is a singing sensation and Vine star. He also happens to love The 100. As you do. That unique combination scored him a guest role on The CW series!

"Shawn is a big fan of the show, and reached out to me on Twitter about potentially working together," executive producer Jason Rothenberg told E! News. "He's a very talented artist, and we knew we wanted to do something special and different for the premiere. Shawn gave us a unique opportunity and I can't wait for our fans to see our collaboration." 

Apparently Mendes will play a young ark survivor who gets into a sticky situation and uses his talents to get himself out of it on the season premiere of The 100 Season 3.

While we're not going to rule out myriad other talents Mendes might have, we're going to go ahead and guess the scrappy young survivor will be bringing a shining beacon of light to earth by way of song. 

It's kind of nice to now there will be a bright spot amidst the darkness that has surrounded the warring people for so long, right? At least that's our guess. Hit us with yours!
