The X-Files Adds Robbie Amell and Lauren Ambrose as Agents!

at .

Another attractive pair of agents will be joining Mulder and Scully on The X-Files.

Robbie Amell and Lauren Ambrose are joining The X-Files in the fourth episode of the six episode continuation of the series as Agents Miller and Einstein, respectively.

Amell's Agent Miller is described as smart and smooth while Ambrose's Agent Einstein is sharp and confident.

What we want to know is if these two might be the faces of the series should the success of the run mean it continues on after the initial six installments. The two actors certainly have the acting chops to pull it off, and their looks kind of mirror the agents we've come to know and love.

They join Mitch Pileggi who will return as Skinner, William B. Davis returning as the Cigarette Smoking Man and Joel McHale who jumps on board as a right-wing political pundit who asks Mulder and Scully to look into a woman who claims to have been abducted.

The series will return on a special night, Sunday, Jan. 24 after the NFC Championship game, and settle into its normal Monday time slot on Jan. 25.

The X-Files Quotes

Mulder: Air's gettin' a little hot in here.
O'Malley: Oh. Those don't roll down. I had the vehicle bulletproofed.
Mulder: Because you never know when a gun-toting liberal might go Hinkley.

Scully: I'm always happy to see you.
Mulder: And I'm always happy to find a reason.
