The Flash Season 2 Finds The Voice of Zoom

at .

If you thought discovering the true identity of the Reverse Flash was quite the mystery, well, we ain't seen nothin' yet, folks!

Tony Todd has been cast as the voice of Zoom, the villain of The Flash Season 2. He will not be, as of this writing, cast in the role of Zoom when he's revealed. Pretty sneaky, right? His voice will first be heard menacing The Flash in the second episode of the season.

In a chat with Variety, producer Andrew Kreisberg shared they wanted to do things a little differently than how it all went down with the Reverse Flash in The Flash Season 1, which is why they've chosen to go with a Darth-Vader-esque voice to really enhance the mystery of Zoom.

Kreisberg also noted, "The Zoom outfit is much more organic than the Reverse-Flash suit. In a way, it’s hard to tell if it is a suit or alive… There’s no skin showing, for all you know there’s a robot underneath, or dark energy."

There is one things the two villains will share, however, and that's a similar, personal goal that's primal in nature. Like the Reverse Flash wanted to get home, Zoom's motivations will also be easy to understand, and he will not care who or what he harms in his quest to attain his goal.

The Flash returns on Tues. Oct. 6 and you can watch The Flash online to catch up before the premiere. This is sounding all kinds of good now, so don't miss out!

The Flash Quotes

Ramsey: You know, I don't understand you Barry. You march towards death without fear, just like mum. Where is it you get your strength?
Barry: Probably the same place she did, people I love.

Where I came from, I was a speedster like you. They called me The Flash.
