Awkward Season 5 Episode 10 Review: Reality Does Not Bite

at .

The longest prom ever came to an end on Awkward Season 5 Episode 10. That's not a bad thing.

The episode had it's fair share of laughs and may well be the best offering from the show this season.

The pointless storylines were forced out the way and it paved the way for Jenna and Matty to fall back in love. When Matty came clean to her and she said they hurt each other too much, I welled up a little because I thought that was it for them. All this build up for nothing would be pretty disappointing,

Slip and Fall - Awkward

It looks like they are together for the foreseeable future since high school ends for them.

Valerie was back on top form chaperoning the prom. She was very to the point and didn't want anyone getting hot under the collar, so what do the sex crazed young adults do? They move the party to a bedroom of course!

The bedroom prom was way better, but that's because there was alcohol involved. Just look at when the prom moved back downstairs and because the drinks were spiked, the party was better. Way better.

The episode appeared to have everyone happy by the end. Heck, even psycho Kyle was happy, but that's all thanks to Matty for pulling some strings at the awards. The one person not happy was Sadie. That's because she was caught with alcohol and it means that she's no longer going to her graduation. She cares a lot about it and even has a speech prepared.

Tamara finally had sex with her boyfriend and she enjoyed it a lot. She had the biggest smile on her face as she told Matty how long they were going at it. Classy.

Gabby and Jake calling it quits was pretty damn mature. They both have different outlooks on life, so they owe it to themselves to go and live the world and find their place in it. If they stay together, it's going to be a long distance thing that won't work for either of them.

Poor Jenna has no luck with dresses. She should just stick to casual from here on out. Less complications for her. We're left at a very interesting point. Next week will mark the end of Awkward as we know it. The High School drama will officially be over and it'll be off to college for our characters.

How will they change? Will they even return to Palos Hills for Spring Break? We hope so!

"Reality Does Not Bite" was a fun episode. It had he comedy that's been missing on the show for much of the season and it had all fof the characters naturally progressing on to their next destination. These people have grown up a lot since we first laid eyes on them almost five years ago.
