The Good Wife Season 7 Episode 7 Review: Driven

at .  Updated at .

Alicia just doesn’t care anymore or at least that’s what she wanted us to believe in The Good Wife Season 7 Episode 7

But is it true?

It certainly appeared so when it came on to Peter. One moment she sharing drinks with Jason and the next she’s jumping into bed with her ex.

Alicia: Wanna get laid?
Peter: Do you?
Alicia: Sure, I've got 20 minutes.

Was she attracted to Jason but since Peter was there, it was more acceptable to hit the sheets with him? Is she right? Is sex sexier when feelings aren’t involved?

I found that concept kind of sad but then again, love hasn’t exactly turned out so well for Alicia Florrick so her point of view may be different from mine.

Jason certainly handled Peter’s awkward appearance well. Does anything faze this guy?

The driverless car case was interesting but I can’t say it completely grabbed me. I was looking forward to more interplay between all of the attorneys involved and I just didn’t get it. I was somewhat happy that the initial disdain Diane had towards Alicia appeared to get toned down a bit.

Is it possible for driverless cars to truly be safe if they are surrounded by cars being driven by actual humans? In a world where anything can be hacked, is anything actually safe?

My favorite moment from the entire case was The Good Wife quote between Alicia and Lucca as they waited at Florrick, Agos, and Lee…

Lucca: Yeah, I can see you here, making clients way, ordering associates around, being the queen bee bitch.
Alicia: I'm a much calmer person now.
Lucca: Oh my god, that's a terrifying thought.

Back on the campaign trail, uber-powerful CEO Courtney Paige was the next to be courted. I loved it when Nora, Eli’s assistant told him she was done playing I Love Lucy for him by sneaking around to get info.

The Florrick family dinner/fake birthday party was awkward, mostly because of Peter and Alicia. Grace was the only genuine and interesting person in the room and she held up her end of this farce admirably.

Jackie and Howard popping in to announce their engagement was the highlight. Like Alicia, I couldn’t help but laugh but Jackie and Howard’s racist comments, all the while believing they are anything but, were horrifyingly real.

Alicia being a member of the Democratic Election board has added yet another twist I didn’t expect. Frank Landau is a dangerous bully and even Holman obviously has his own agenda.

What will Alicia do next? That’s the big question and the fun of this season is that I have no idea.

I have no words. No, you can keep talking but I have no words for this.
