Hawaii Five-0 Season 6 Episode 13 Review: Hold the Breath

On Hawaii Five-0 Season 6 Episode 13, Grover arrives in Chicago, and he is on a mission to try to get a confession out of his ex-friend Clay Maxwell.
If you remember back in Hawaii Five-0 Season 5 Episode 20, Clay and his wife Diane had been on an anniversary trip to Hawaii.
During a hike Diane falls to her death from a cliff. Grover's gut instinct has told him that Clay pushed his wife off the cliff. Because he never had any hard evidence that would point to anything more than a tragic accident, his team has never supported him on this.
But Grover thinks he knows his friend, and what he is capable of. He knows that he can play on your emotions, tell a bold faced lie, and not bat an eye.
If Clay Maxwell looks familiar to you, it is because he is played by Mykelti Williamson who starred as Ellstin Limehouse on Justified.
I have to say I was a little taken aback by Grover's interrogation tactics to get that confession. There is breaking and entering, kidnapping of two people, and assault. Surely that won't go un-punished.
Even if Clay had confessed, would it even be admissible in court? He had no warrant that we know of. He just broke in, attacked him with a needle that rendered him out for a bit and duct taped him to a chair.
Grover was very upset at the thought of Clay getting away with murder, but you would think he would want it done by the book.
Clay: You know you are going to go to jail for this.
Grover: Yeah, it would be me and you. I get dibs on the bottom bunk.
Then there is Clay's girlfriend Leann. She seems like an innocent party in all this. I would be surprised if she knew Clay killed his wife.
She seemed genuinely upset at Grover's rant about him. Making her wonder, if maybe someday she will have an "accident" when Clay grows tired of her.
I know she wasn't supposed to come back to the house, but she did, and he proceeded to tie her up as well. This can't end well for Grover.
I hope Chi McBride isn't leaving the show, because I really do like him. He is the comic relief...usually. I would be surprised if he is back like nothing happened.
Like I always said, only three things are sure in life. Death, taxes and Clay Maxwell ordering Giordano's on a Thursday night.

It took awhile and a lot damage to the walls, but Grover's perseverance paid off. I am not sure how much good it will do. Sure the stolen money was there, but Grover didn't exactly go through the proper channels to find it.
Then there was the rest of the gang. The wager was great. Wish I could join them for wings and drinks...in Hawaii.
Too bad Kono and Chin got lost. Glad nothing worse happened to them. I was hoping they would leave Kono alone. I did wonder if the brothers that had killed the cop, worked for Gabriel.
Good to see Danny back and arguing with Steve again.
I see what he's doing there. He's doing Jack Nicholson. And it's very appropriate too, because the last six years of my life has been sort of like "The Shining." Which is a film if you'd seen, you'd know, spends the whole movie torturing a young boy named Danny.

Some final thoughts:
- Who knew Steve was a wave hog?
- It was kind of cute when Grover was helping his son with his homework, even with Clay duct taped in the background.
- It was funny when Kono told Chin that everyone knew about him and Abby...and he was surprised by that.
- I wonder if they are going to find a way for Abby to stay in Hawaii or if she will be sent back home.
- I want to know what happened in Philly. Then again maybe I don't.
