TV Ratings Report: Criminal Minds, Chicago P.D, SVU Hit Season Highs
Paul Dailly at .All of the procedural series on the air hit season highs last night.
Fox led the night by one tenth of a ratings point, with American Idol hitting 9.7 million and a 2.5 rating among 18-49. That led into the series premiere of Second Chance, which held just 4.8 million viewers and a 1.2 rating among 18-49.
All things considered, these results are terrible and don't be expecting Fox to be lenient on this one. It's got a solid lead-in.
And elsewhere around the dial:
- On NBC, The Mysteries of Laura (7.5 million/1.2 rating) was up, while Law & Order: SVU (8 million/2.0 rating) and Chicago P.D (8 million/2.0 rating) both registered season highs.
- On CBS. Two Broke Girls (6.6 million/1.7 rating) and Mike & Molly (7.2 million/1.6 rating) were in line with last week, but Criminal Minds(9.3 million/2.0 rating) hit a season high. Code Black (6.8 million/1.3 rating) lost some ground.
- On ABC, The Middle (7.3 million/1.9 rating), The Goldbergs (6.3 million/2.0 rating), Modern Family (8.2 million/2.6 rating) & Black-ish (6.1 million/1.9 rating) were in line with last week. American Crime (4.3 million/1.1 rating) shed just one tenth.
- And on The CW, it was encores of The Flash (1.3 million/0.4 rating) and Arrow (1.1 million/0.4 rating).
