Shades of Blue: Renewed for Season 2 at NBC!

There will be even more Shades of Blue at NBC.

The Jennifer Lopez vehicle has received the green light for a second season at the network.

The drama, which stars Lopez as a bad cop forced to work against her partner and squad to help the FBI after she's caught in the act, has been performing really well digitally for the network, even if the traditional ratings may not show it as a hit.

NBC renewed last summer's Aquarius based upon its online ratings, so this pickup underscores the relevance of Live + Same Day numbers in renewal decisions.

Shades of Blue Cast

“We want to thank Jennifer, who is the hardest working woman we know, for her incredible efforts as both the star and producer of this show, as well as well as our other amazing producers and cast for all their tireless work in creating one of the most compelling dramas on television today,” said NBC’s entertainment president Jennifer Salke.

Other stars in the series are Ray Liotta, Drea de Matteo, Warren Kole, Dayo Okeniyi, Vincent Laresca, Hampton Fluker and Sarah Jeffery.
