Scorpion Season 2 Episode 19 Review: Ticker

I'll do my best not to make a Bad Blood joke or Taylor Swift reference, but no promises.

On Scorpion Season 2 Episode 19, Walter got into a car accident, which was surprisingly not a big deal. It wasn't a fender bender either. It was a full on crash, but somehow Walter came away with only a bump on the head? No lower back pain or anything? That's surprising.

Wait, did Walter ever actually get checked out? They were in the waiting room for awhile, but it's unclear whether Walter actually got the full lab work the nurse said was required for people who had been in accidents. I worry about Walter.

Guys, I really loved Walter and Olivia. It was so cute to watch how Walter interacted with her. He was kind and encouraging. I may have teared up when he promised Olivia and her mom that she would be able to get her surgery.

The entire case was about making sure Olivia could get her surgery. That was our goal. It wasn't about finding out who the bad guy was. Of course, learning his identity had to happen, but it was so Team Scorpion could figure out the magic algorithm to find out which blood was the blood that Olivia needed for her surgery.

Unmasking Todd Wilcox wasn't the endgame, but something that had to be done in order to save Olivia. This helped to make the case different from all the others.

We were problem solving to save a life of a girl we had met and probably already fallen in love with. If your heart didn't melt while watching Walter talking to Olivia in the waiting room then we need to have a talk.

The entire team was a bit more on edge. There was an urgency that you felt with them because we all wanted to save Olivia. Sure, there's urgency in all of the cases Team Scorpion handles, but you, as a viewer, don't always get caught up in it. This time, you did.

Overall, the case was entertaining. I liked that Toby's profiling got a chance to shine. It was amusing watching him profile Todd. My next favorite moment was the truck heist. Between the image of Cabe driving a beat up trailer and Walter trying to toss blood bags across, it was a lot of fun.

We can't forget to talk about the Scorpion Olympics. I really love these random shenanigans that the team gets involved in. It's a shame we didn't get to see more of the events. There's clearly a variety that tests various skill sets, and not so surprisingly, Toby had devised a way to cheat.

What did you think of the episode? What was your favorite part of the case? If you got to pick a test to be in the Scorpion Olympics, what would it be? Leave your thoughts in a comment below.
