Amen!!

Preacher, the supernatural drama from Seth Rogen, Evan Goldberg and Sam Catlin about a particularly badass man of the cloth (Dominic Cooper) has been renewed for a second season at AMC.

“Preacher is a special television program and we’re eager to share with fans the rest of this wild first season and, now, an expanded second season,” AMC president Charlie Collier said.

“What Sam, Seth, Evan and the entire creative team have achieved in bringing Garth Ennis’ graphic novel to the screen is extraordinary."

"We look forward to more time with these unforgettable characters be it in Heaven, Hell, Texas or beyond.”

Currently through Preacher Season 1 which consists of 10 episodes, the second season will be larger with 13 episodes.

Preacher is the #2 new series on cable this year among adults 18-49 and adults 25-54, and is currently averaging 3.3 million viewers per episode in Nielsen live plus 3 ratings.

For those of you who haven't jumped on board yet, Preacher centers on Cooper's Jesse Custer.

Inhabited by an entity named Genesis, it gives him the power to do whatever he commands.

As it would, his strange power attracts the attention of two angels, Fiore (Tom Brooke) and DeBlanc (Anatol Yusef).

Custer's girlfriend, Tulip (Ruth Negga) makes him look sweet and gentle and there's also...wait for it...an Irish vampire named Cassidy (Joseph Gilgun) hanging about.
