The Night Shift (6.3 million/1.3 rating) continued to benefit from the improved lead-in support from America's Got Talent (11.4 million/2.3 rating).
ABC's coverage of the ESPYS (5.6 million/1.7 rating) was a strong option.
CBS' Big Brother (5.9 million/1.7 rating) continued with strong ratings, but American Gothic (2.8 miillion/0.5 rating) slipped to a new low.
Fox's Masterchef (3.6 million/1.1 rating) and Wayward Pines (2.5 million/0.8 rating) were in line with last week's results.
The CW had the return of Penn & Teller (1.5 million/0.4 rating) and Whose Line Is It Anyway (1.3 million/0.4 rating).
